There’s a new beach house in town at Dauphin Island! This summer our new house, Walkin’ on Sunshine, will be complete and available to rent for your family vacation.
We have always loved Dauphin Island and always hoped that one day we could make it our second home. Now that dream is becoming reality! Construction started in March 2017 and we are well on our way to having a house. We will soon be picking out colors, fixtures and the like, so it’s going to seem like it is “really real” soon! It features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a huge back deck facing the Gulf of Mexico. There is also an unobstructed view of the Mississippi Sound off the front deck.
Like the name suggests, there will be plenty of sunshine at this West End beach home, and it’s only steps from the Gulf of Mexico, so there will be plenty of opportunity for walks on the beach! We have seen numerous species of birds around the home site. Next spring I am hoping to see some sea turtles on the island. We also plan to fish and go shelling.
In the coming days I will keep you updated on house construction and information. It will be available to book for vacations soon, even before construction is completed. I will also post about Dauphin Island, things to do, events, etc.
